You may not think very much about North Dakota's insurance commissioner, but it's an important job that touches your life every day. The commissioner oversees the insurance industry in North Dakota. From your car to your health to your business, it's the commissioner's job to do what's best for the people of North Dakota. The insurance commissioner also sits on the state’s Investment Board and makes critical decisions about North Dakota’s $5 billion investment fund.
It's a job that should be taken seriously, and one that requires an understanding of the complex financial workings of the insurance industry. Excellent communication is also key.
Our next insurance commissioner needs these qualities. Tom Potter spent nearly 25 years teaching finance at UND. He's a Level 1 Financial Advisor, and if you want proof of his character or his communication skills, just ask the church congregation where Tom is an ordained pastor.
Tom Potter has a plan for the office of insurance commissioner.
Elect Tom Potter on November 6, 2012.
